This. Smells. Amazing. And your skin will feel amazing after using it! Recycle your morning coffee grounds with a peppermint mocha body scrub. It smells so good you may want to eat it, and you probably can because all the ingredients come from the kitchen, but just resist that urge. Use it in the shower as an exfoliant to wash away dead skin cells and improve circulation. It will leave your skin feeling softer, smoother, and vibrant.
I recommend doing a body scrub 1-2 times a week. Any more than 3 times a week would probably be over-doing it and may end up irritating and drying out your skin.
Add this body scrub to your weekly beauty ritual.
DIY Peppermint Mocha Body Scrub
Ingredients:
- 2 heaping tbsp used coffee grounds
- 1 tbsp sugar (brown or granulated white)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (at room temperature so it’s liquified.. can heat a spoonful in the microwave if needed)
- 3-4 drops peppermint oil
Directions:
- Mix together all ingredients well.
- If not using immediately, store in an air tight container. It should last for up to a few days. Careful though… mine grew mold after about 4 days.
- In the shower, gently rub in circular motion over entire body with your hands. Move in the direction towards your heart to encourage blood to flow that way.
- You may want to let sit on the skin for a minute or two before rinsing to allow the antioxidants to penetrate skin.
- Rinse off.
I love this DIY scrub so much. The scent is so delicious and using it leaves my skin glowing. I hope you enjoy it just as much.
