1. Gift Cards for Experiences
You could do a gift card for things like a spa, a mani/pedi, acupuncture, a broadway show, a movie theater, a favorite restaurant, etc. A favorite for giving and receiving.
2. Books
I love relaxing after the holidays with a good read. Some of the best and most uplifting books I’ve read this year include How Are You, Really?, Atomic Habits, A New Earth, The Power of One More, and The Five Love Languages. Another on my list to read this year is Becoming Supernatural. Cookbooks are an excellent idea too. You could also do a gift card to a local bookstore or Barnes and Noble.
3. Red Light Reading Light
I have this Hooga book light and I absolutely love it. It’s an amber color light, so it doesn’t emit that blue light that’s so terrible for sleep. It’s easy on the eyes, clips on to the book, and has a very long battery life (it’s rechargeable too!).
4. Audible Gift Membership
I love physically reading a good book, but it also nice to listen to books on Audible while driving, showering, cooking, etc. With two kids, I can get through an entire book much faster this way. You can gift a 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, or 12 month Audible membership, and Amazon will send your gift recipient an email on the day you choose along with redemption instructions, or you can print to give it directly.
5. Thrive Market Membership
Thrive Market is my favorite source for getting healthy groceries and body-care products delivered to my door. Thrive Market’s offerings include healthy food, supplements, clean wine, body care products, baby care products, natural home/cleaning solutions, and natural pet care products. You can read about my favorite products from Thrive Market here.
6. AirDoctor Pro Air Purifier
I love our AirDoctor air purifier. Before getting it, a high quality air purifier had been on my wish list for a lot of years. I did a ton of research before choosing AirDoctor, which you can read all about here. It’s definitely one of my favorite home appliances.
7. AquaTru Water Purifier
If the person you’re shopping for could use a good water purifier, either countertop or an under-the-sink model, check out AquaTru’s holiday deals. We have the AquaTru Classic Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier in our kitchen, and it’s where the kids go to fill up their cups throughout the day. I like that the new Carafe model stores the filtered water in glass, rather than plastic. Check them out here.
8. Himalayan Salt Lamp
A good salt lamp will probably always rank high on my gift ideas list. Aside from the pretty, calming effect they provide to any room, there are real actually health benefits of them. Salt lamps give off negative ions, like the ones produced in nature (in forests, near waterfalls, oceans, thunderstorms, etc.) which create positive, cleaning effects on the air we breathe.
9. Notebook | Journal
I have a thing for stationary, and fresh new notebooks like these excite me… especially at the start of a new year.
10. APL Sneakers
I don’t hype about shoes much, but despite the expensive price tag, I do love these sneakers. I was seeing a lot of fitness instructors wearing APL sneakers so I decided to try them out for myself. They come in so many colors, are very comfy, and clean up very well in the washer machine. I have the Techloom Breeze, and wrote a detailed review of them here.
11. Hydro Flask Water Bottle
I think any stainless steel water bottle is a good gift, but these Hydro Flask ones are some of my favorites because they’re durable, dishwasher safe, easy to carry, and come in great colors.
12. Weighted Blanket
Weighted blankets have become very popular lately, as many people swear by them for improving sleep quality, relaxation and comfort. You can read about the benefits of weighted blankets here.
13. Chemex Coffee Maker
The only way I make coffee now. The Chemex is made of non-porous Borosilicate glass, so no plastic chemicals here, offering the purest coffee flavor. Add in Chemex coffee filters and some fresh ground coffee for a complete gift set.
14. ButcherBox Gift Box
ButcherBox is a meat subscription service offering some of the highest quality grass fed and organic meats. I recently wrote a review on it which you can read here. I love that they offer gift box options.
15. Instant Pot
One of my absolute kitchen favorites. The Instant Pot makes healthy meals fast, and without a lot of cleanup!
16. Le Creuset Cookware
These are pricey, but very high quality, sure to last a long time, and are a nice addition to any kitchen.
17. Omega Juicer
I’ve had my Omega J8006 Juicer for almost 10 years now and I absolutely love it. I’ve gotten a ton of great use out of it, and it really hasn’t shown much ware. I ordered this same one for my mom, and she was amazed by the easy cleanup. You can read about the different kinds of home juicers here.
18. Popsicle Molds
We have these popsicle molds, and love them. The kids want to make/eat popsicles every day, which is usually fine with me because we turn our healthy smoothies into popsicles. I also have a favorite homemade fudgesicle recipe which you can find here.
19. Ice Cream Maker
Another favorite in our house. My mom got the kids this ice cream maker for Christmas a few years ago, and honestly, I wasn’t sure how much we’d use it. Turns out, we’ve used it a lot. We make “healthy” ice creams practically weekly, like this homemade chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream.
20. Bee Lucia Non-Toxic Candles
Candles have long been a quintessential gift. The big-name candle company stores are always crowded around Christmas time, but not everyone knows just how terrible the typical synthetic candles are for our health. I definitely recommend going with a natural beeswax candle. Not only are natural beeswax candles non-toxic and clean burning, but they can actually purify the air. Like salt lamps, natural beeswax candles produce negative ions.
21. Self Care | Pamper Kit
You can include things like this natural loofa exfoliating sponge, Dr. Bronner’s pure-castile liquid soap, Epsom salt for soaking, a rose quartz face massager, scalp massager, a new cozy bath robe and warm cozy socks.
22. Avocado Green Pillow
An all-natural indulgence for sleep. The pillows are GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meaning they’re scientifically tested to meet the world’s most rigorous emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, and phthalates. I have the Avocado Green Mattress and love it.
23. Essential Oils
You can never have too many oils. Just make sure you purchase food-grade organic essential oils, because all essential oils are definitely not created equal! I personally used love Young Living Essential Oils.
24. Olive Oil & Vinegar Set
25. Tea & Honey Set
