While attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I had an assignment to lead a group of fellow students through a guided mediation on a call.
The following meditation is what I used, adapted from one I found on MindBodyGreen.
I’ve had it saved on my desktop for a while now, and figured I’d just drop it here incase anyone else is in need of an energizing guided meditation script. Enjoy!
Guided Mediation Script
Find a comfortable seated position.
Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your body.
Observe your breath.
Feel your breath flowing in and flowing out of your body.
If your attention begins to wander, simply bring it back to your breath.
On your inhale, bring energy, vitality and life force into the your body.
On the exhale, feel your body release any stress, any negativity.
Let it drain out through your feet.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
Continue these deep inhales and deep exhales for ten long breaths.
With each inhale, bring more and more energy and vitality into your body.
Feel the vibration of energy course through your body from your feet up to your head…. and from your head down to your feet.
Become aware of the warmth and energy within every cell.
Now start to visualize all the positive energy you have accumulated in your body.
Visualize all that energy shining as bright as the sun.
Bring the shining glow of energy to your crown center at the top of your head.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel as the warmth of the positive energy begins to radiate from the top of your head down over your face and neck.
Feel the lightness and peacefulness in your mind.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel the healing energy now moving over your neck and shoulders, down your arms to your finger tips and over your heart center.
Feel the warmth within your heart.
Allow this healing positive energy to fill you with unconditional love.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel the healing energy move down your body into your hips and down your legs all the way to your toes.
Feel as the healing positive energy grounds you to the Earth.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Your whole body is filled with positive healing energy. Allow the positive energy to flow freely through your entire body.
With each breath, feel the energy grow stronger and stronger.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
Feel clarity and alertness within your mind.
Feel energy and vitality within your body.
Feel positivity and peacefulness within your soul.
Breathe in and breathe out.
When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes and bring your attention back to the room.
