Three Things for Thursday: Chocolate Chia Pudding, Dry Brushing & Daylight Savings Tips

1. Gut-Loving Chocolate Chia Pudding 🍫✨

This chocolate chia pudding is a delicious way to support digestion, gut health, and overall wellness. It’s a creamy, indulgent treat that’s secretly packed with many nutrients. With fiber-rich chia seeds, collagen for gut and skin health, and adaptogenic maca for balanced energy, this recipe is as functional as it is delicious.

Here’s why I love it:

  • Supports digestion & detoxification: Chia seeds are loaded with fiber to keep your gut happy.
  • Rich in protein & collagen: Helps nourish skin, joints, and gut health.
  • Balances energy & hormones: Maca powder adds an adaptogenic boost.
  • Antioxidant powerhouse:  Cocoa powder fights inflammation and supports brain function.
  • Naturally sweetened & probiotic-rich: Maple syrup + yogurt = the perfect gut-friendly combo.

2. End-of-Winter Detox Tip: The Power of Dry Brushing ✨🛁

Feeling sluggish as we wrap up winter? Dry brushing is one of the easiest ways to refresh your body from the outside in – supporting detoxification, circulation, and glowing skin.

Just a few minutes before your shower can help:

  • Stimulate lymphatic drainage – Your lymphatic system is key for detox, and dry brushing helps keep things moving.
  • Boost circulation & energy – The gentle friction wakes up your body and promotes healthy blood flow.
  • Exfoliate dull winter skin – Say goodbye to dry, flaky skin and hello to a smoother, healthier glow.

Dry brushing is gentle but powerful, making it a perfect way to support detox without deprivation (just like the other tips in my Detox Guide!).

How to do it: Start at your feet and brush in long, upward strokes toward your heart. Use gentle pressure, and follow with a shower and a hydrating oil.

3. Get Ahead of Daylight Saving Time: Healthy Sleep Tips Before the Clock Springs Forward ⏰💤

Daylight savings time is coming up on Sunday, March 9th, meaning we lose an hour of sleep – something that can throw off our circadian rhythm, energy levels, mood, focus, and overall health. But instead of feeling groggy and off-balance when the time change hits, we can ease into the transition now with a few simple adjustments:

  • Start shifting your bedtime just 10-15 minutes earlier each night leading up to the time change.
  • Get morning sunlight as soon as possible after waking up to help regulate your circadian rhythm.
  • Limit screen time in the evening – blue light exposure delays melatonin production.
  • Caffeine and alcohol can interfere with deep sleep, so cutting back in the afternoon and evening can make a big difference.
  • Try magnesium or calming teas (like chamomile) to support deep sleep.
  • Create a relaxing bedtime routine – whether it’s reading, stretching, or sipping herbal tea, winding down in a consistent way signals to your body that it’s time to rest.

Sleep is a vital pillar of your overall health, supporting everything from immune function to mood regulation, memory, and cellular repair. A good night’s sleep not only helps you adjust to time changes, but it’s essential for your long-term wellness.

I’ve been taking sleep way more seriously lately, and it’s made a huge difference in my energy and overall well-being. One of the biggest game changers for me has been my Oura Ring, which has completely transformed how I view sleep. It tracks my sleep quality, deep sleep, REM, wake-ups, heart rate, and gives me an overall sleep score each night. Unlike most smartwatches and other wearable devices that rely on both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the Oura Ring only uses Bluetooth – and you can turn that off while you sleep. I personally don’t like Wi-Fi on my body, so this was a huge selling point for me! It continues to track everything even while in airplane mode and syncs once I reconnect it in the morning. ✨ If you’re ready to prioritize your sleep too, I highly recommend the Oura Ring. It’s been a total game changer for me! You can check it out here.
